She stands alone, naked, beaten by wind and weather, surrounded by troubles, and yet undaunted, she raises her eyes to the future and says "I am not afraid"

A rather personal piece. I took a break from working on a commission as I glimpsed this photo [link] grabbed the nearest thing i could find to draw on (a piece of cardboard) and the nearest drawing implement (a ballpoint pen) and started trying to capture the feeling i wanted. ended up painting for a couple of hours straight, but am happy with the result.

I think the defiant kind of "I've still got my dignity & pride and you can't take that from me" look she's got on her face is excellent. Very strong. This really speaks. And she wears her nakedness confidently that it kind of makes you feel ridiculous wearing clothes. Anyways, love your style, and that you can really bring great expression into your characters faces.
