Harvesting Colour

Description

Inspired by an as yet unpublished poem of =zebrazebrazebra's (i'm one of her lucky pre-readers) and a bit of van gogh, the colours are very unlike me, but if the lovely lady submits the poem online i shall link to it and all should hopefully become clear!

The colours are v. bright on the original, i don't quite trust my monitor, so i may edit this if i check it on another screen and it looks very different.

Acrylics on card, A3 sized.

*edit* toned down the colours a teeny bit to make the details more visible/ update 16th october -fixed the levels so i can make prints available.

Beautiful, ummm, colours! :P

Although I have never done any serious brushwork (is this digital?), I would recommend trying some thinner, more aggressive strokes now and again, in the green in the lower left for example, or perhaps the yellow highlights of the middle-right green.
I would also urge you to try a more chaotic formation for the already-gathered colours (that's what those bag-like things are, isn't it? :P ) - right now they seem arranged on two [curved] lines, which makes them seem too orderly--not abstract.

Generally, a little bit of variety and, mostly, randomness would only do good, I think. :)

Oh! And you should probably link back to the now-published poem! :)

The Muses be with you,

PS: Don't get me wrong, I loved the colours. I'm just following the "Advanced Critique Encouraged" motto :P
